The parade commences at 9:30 a.m. The line up begins at 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot on the
SE side of Manhattan Town Center. The parade will end at the intersection of Poyntz and 14th
Street. You must have submitted and received (approval or your chalk assignment) before you
can enter the parade whether you have been in any previous parade or not. Please complete
and return the attached entry form and provide a short commentary about your entry for the
parade narrator to announce as you pass the reviewing stand. Entrants must observe all
applicable rules and regulations and follow instructions from police and parade officials or be
barred from the parade.
• Each group will have an assigned staging number. The numbers will be displayed on
signs in the lot and a cadet will be located there to assist you in getting into the proper
line-up order.
• One person in your group must be designated as the leader. Your group must be
prepared to follow the instructions of the KSU Army ROTC cadets. The cadets will be
wearing military uniforms and reflective vests.
• Parade entries should enter the staging area only through the entry points where you
will be met by cadets who will confirm your entry and direct you to a staging area.
• Any entry with children riding on a vehicle/float must provide ample adult supervision.
• Throwing candy and other items from your entry is strictly prohibited due to liability
regulations. Please abide by these rules for your safety and the safety of others.
• In case of an emergency, which may require police or fire vehicles, all entries are
required to move as far to the right side of the street as possible.
• The Coalition Parade Committee reserves the right to remove any entrant from the
parade either prior to assembly, while assembling or any time during the parade and the
right to accept or decline any entry.
• The Coalition Parade Committee reserves the right to modify narratives as needed.
• Placement in the parade is set by the Coalition Parade Committee and is not guaranteed.
• The Coalition Parade Committee reserves the right to remove any unit of which costume
or performance does not conform to the standards of reasonable public taste.
